Located in one of Dhaka’s most prestigious neighborhoods, this 3600 sqft apartment in Dhanmondi was designed to offer the ultimate in modern luxury and comfort. The client envisioned a space that would balance sophistication with functionality, creating a home that feels elegant yet warm and inviting. The design had to reflect the exclusivity of the location while maximizing the space’s livability.
Design Objective
The primary goal was to transform this spacious apartment into a luxurious haven, with each room reflecting a unique combination of style, comfort, and functionality. We aimed to deliver a design that speaks to the client’s taste for luxury, while also ensuring the layout fosters a natural flow throughout the home, creating a harmonious living experience.
Design in Concept
The design concept revolved around creating a modern, luxurious interior with a focus on clean lines, premium materials, and contemporary finishes. We integrated a neutral color palette throughout, with subtle accents to add character without overwhelming the space. The use of natural materials like marble, wood, and glass added a sense of refinement and timeless elegance, while thoughtful touches in lighting and textures enhanced the overall ambiance.
Key Design Elements:
Open Living and Dining Area: The heart of the apartment is the expansive living and dining space, where we created an open-plan layout to encourage a seamless flow between areas. The large floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light, making the space feel even more open and airy. Custom-designed furniture adds to the feeling of grandeur while ensuring maximum comfort for both the homeowners and their guests.
Premium Master Suite: The master bedroom is designed to be a private retreat, combining comfort with sophistication. A custom-designed walk-in wardrobe, luxurious en-suite bathroom with high-end fittings, and plush bedding make this space feel like a 5-star hotel room. The use of soft lighting, neutral tones, and a mix of natural textures create a calming atmosphere.
Modern Kitchen Design: The kitchen was designed with both form and function in mind. Equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and sleek cabinetry, it offers a modern yet functional cooking environment. We opted for a monochrome color scheme accented by metallic finishes to give the space a polished, sophisticated feel. The kitchen also features a breakfast bar that doubles as a casual dining area for busy mornings.
Design in Details
Elegant Materials: To maintain a sense of luxury throughout the apartment, we carefully selected premium materials such as Italian marble flooring, solid wood cabinetry, and tempered glass partitions. These materials not only elevate the aesthetics but also ensure long-lasting durability and easy maintenance.
Lighting Design: Lighting plays a crucial role in enhancing the apartment’s luxurious feel. We incorporated a mix of statement chandeliers in the dining and living areas, along with recessed ambient lighting to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. In the bedrooms, we used softer lighting to evoke a sense of relaxation and calmness.
Personalized Spaces: Each bedroom is designed to cater to individual preferences, featuring custom-built wardrobes, tailor-made furniture, and accents that reflect the personality of the occupant. The children’s room is playful yet sophisticated, with multi-functional furniture to make the most of the space.
Bathrooms with a Spa-Like Feel: The en-suite bathrooms in the apartment are designed to offer a spa-like experience, with luxurious fixtures, rain showers, and free-standing bathtubs. Marble countertops and elegant fittings enhance the overall feel of opulence and relaxation.
